Downtown Spice and Candy is a cheery little shop in the heart of Camden created by Amanda Murray and Ian Cheney.

Open since June of 2025, the shop is part of a larger space at 27 Washington Street called Other Media Other, a community arts and film venue run by Ian and his sister Claire.

Downtown Spice and Candy offers a curated selection of inspired spices and sweets. Alongside Swedish bulk candy and jars to fill with your picks, you’ll find our favorite sour Nordic fish, caramels, licorice, and a few Japanese treats and throwback candy bars (Reggies!), and a wide selection of beautiful blends from Curio Spice Co. Curio sources spices from around the world that spark creativity, curiosity, and excellent flavor.
